This Privacy Policy applies only to the Upwend mobile application. A separate policy applies to the Upwend website.

Upwend is designed for adults aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has accessed the app, please contact admin@clearstepapp.com.

Account Information

• Email address — used to create and identify your account
• Access code provided by your participating organization, used for access management and program-level reporting

Usage Information

• Time spent within the app by module
• Content completion status
• Drop-off points within content
• Days the app was accessed
• Avatar tier reached

Reports made available to programs are intended to be aggregated and are not intended to identify your individual responses or choices.

What We Do Not Collect

• Medical records or diagnosis information
• Name, date of birth, address, or phone number
• Individual responses to content or mini-games
• Payment information
• Location data
• Unnecessary device identifiers

4. How We Use Your Information

• Create and maintain your account
• Associate your account with your participating organization
• Deliver and personalize the Upwend experience
• Generate aggregate program-level reporting
• Respond to support enquiries
• Improve the Upwend application over time

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the Upwend experience.

5. What Your Program Can See

Participating organizations have access to an administrative dashboard displaying aggregate engagement information.

• Active user counts
• Time spent per module
• Completion rates
• Drop-off points
• Story progression by chapter

Program reports are not intended to identify your individual in-app responses or choices.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

We may disclose information:

• To service providers supporting app operations
• When required by law or legal process
• To protect rights, safety, or property where permitted by law

7. Data Retention

We retain account information and usage data for as long as needed to provide the Upwend service.
